Angels from Sunday School

Holy Trinity Anglican Church

10 Thomas Street, Hampton

The Rev'd Emmanuel Carrington was commissioned as Priest-in-Charge at Holy Trinity on November 27 last year and the Parish welcomed him, his wife Deborah and two year old son John into the Holy Trinity family. Prior to this Emmanuel was curate at St. George's Malvern for two years after being priested in 2010, and Holy Trinity is the first parish where he is in charge. In late January, 2013 their baby daughter, Ann, arrived in a hurry and she will be baptised on Sunday, May 26.

Since arriving Emmanuel and Deborah have created our new Kids' corner in church - see below - and the 10am Sunday service is now displayed on the BIG screen so we don't need to juggle prayer books and hymn books any more. Emmanuel has also identified the need for a Youth group for grade 6/7 to Year 12 aged kids as our Sunday School caters more for kinder and primary school aged kids. He hopes to have the Youth group started up later in the year and is thinking it will be held either late Sunday afternoon or early Sunday evening on perhaps a once a month basis. Any feedback / interest would be most welcome.

New Kids' Corner!

Kids' Corner

Any parent would know that it can be difficult to come along to church with a baby or toddler and be able to concentrate on the service whilst making sure they don’t wander too far. Well, we’ve taken out a couple of pews a the back of the church and now have a beautiful new play area that’s colourful, cosy and enclosed where you can sit and they can play safely.

The aim of the new area is to keep the children safe and allow parents time to be nourished by the word of God and feel more a part of the Holy Trinity family!

Surprised by Hope

On Tuesday the 28th of May, at 7.30pm, we will be starting some new, thoroughly challenging and inspiring material. The material is entitled ‘Surprised by Hope’ and over six sessions we’ll be looking at and discussing how Christian hope can transform lives. This is a combination of study, watching some short films and discussion – and all in just over an hour! Get in touch with the Vicar if you’d like to know more or express an interest in coming.

Church Mission:

We are here to learn and grow in Christ in order to care and share with all.

Holy Trinity Church is the local Anglican Church of Hampton. While Anglican, we also welcome members of all Christian denominations, or indeed anyone who has never been to church, to join us. We enjoy a traditional yet relaxed approach to Anglican worship.

At Holy Trinity we have many different backgrounds and value our inclusiveness. We encourage people to explore their faith and have an open approach to Scripture. Central to our worship are our prayer and healing ministries, children's ministry and pastoral care. Through our stewardship and food basket we support of a variety of charities.
